Tekla Version Detector simplifies one of the most common friction points in model management: identifying which Tekla version a model file was created with.

The app scans .db1 files directly—no external API or complex setup required. Internal version values are mapped to readable release labels and presented in a clear, practical interface. With drag-and-drop support, scan history, and bilingual UI (TR/EN), it fits naturally into daily engineering and BIM workflows.

For technical offices, BIM teams, coordinators, and project managers, it provides a fast and reliable way to validate incoming models, classify archived files, and ensure the correct working environment before opening projects.

Tekla Version Detector is the only file application that does not require installation.

Download the TeklaVersionDetector.exe file from the Zadax library.
Move the file to a folder you will use permanently. (e.g. C:\Tools\TeklaVersionDetector).
If you see the Windows SmartScreen warning at first startup, follow the steps “More info > Run anyway”.
The application is ready for use directly when it is opened.

Short Usage Text

Open the application.
.db1 select or drag and drop the file.
Display the detected Tekla version on the screen.

Step-by-Step Usage

On the application main screen, File Click the Select (.db1) button or drag and drop the file.
The system automatically analyzes the file.
The detected version information is shown in the result card.
If necessary, view previous scans from the History tab.
Change language and appearance preferences from the Settings tab.

Usage Notes

Only model files with extension .db1 are supported.
